Hunting in Art Prize 2009

The CIC Commission Hunting in Art, Culture and Museums has awarded the Hunting in Art Prize 2009 at the occasion of the 56th General Assembly in Paris.

The prize, intended to award achievements in the effort to emphasize the value of hunting in art, was given to the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature in Paris. The Commission President Emmanuel La Roche handed over the award to Count Louis de Rohan Chabot during the Closing Ceremony on 2 May.

The Museum presents the unique collection of the “Fondation de la Maison de la Chasse et de la Nature” since its opening in 1967 and was entirely renovated and the collection structure rearranged in 2007. The collections consist of hunting tools, trophies and animal or hunting related art objects.
