Mammal Predators in Their Habitats

The CIC organised at its recent General Assembly an international competition on wildlife photography, with the title “Mammal Predators in Their Habitats”.

The competition was open to all professional or amateur photographers, individuals or members of clubs or associations of photographers. Many beautiful photographs were submitted to the CIC Commission Wildlife Photography. After a pre-selection, the remaining more than 40 pictures were exhibited during the 56th CIC General Assembly in Paris, from 29th April to 2nd May.

The jury, chaired by the President of the Photo Commission, was formed by Heads of various CIC Delegations and selected participants.

The winners were announced at the Closing Session of the General Assembly on 2nd May 2009.

The copyright remains with the authors. The awarded pictures will be exhibited in the CIC Museum in Palárikovo (Slovakia).

The next contest will most probably take place at the CIC General Assembly in 2011 and will be announced mid summer 2010.

You can find this year’s prize winning photos hereafter. If you are interested in using one of the photos, please contact the CIC Administrative Office, who can give you the contacts of the photographer.
